Day 2: Symphony of Praise

O sing to the Lord a new song!
Let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
   the world and those who live in it.
Let the floods clap their hands;
   let the hills sing together for joy
at the presence of the Lord,
for he is coming
to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness,
   and the peoples with equity.
~Psalm 98:7-9

 Come. The Lord is coming...
Psalm 98 declares that God is coming to judge the earth, but this isn't a judgmental or harsh judgment. This scene is one with righteousness and equity. Balance. Peace.
It's the kind of judgment that finally sets everything right. A day worth praying and waiting for.

Psalm 98 also declares that all of creation gives praise to the God who is coming to set everything right.
 The waves in the sea, the dust of the hills,
the moss in the oaks, the squirrels in the magnolias,
all things give praise to their maker and re-creator.
(Scientists have even discovered that stars emit pulses of sound. The stars themselves literally sing)

So we wait...and give praise....as part of the symphony of all creation.
Come!! The Lord is coming!
Advent is upon us.
Let us give our thanks and praise!
