10th day of Lent: Saturday

“When Jesus had stepped out of the boat, immediately a man out of the tombs with an unclean spirit met him. He lived among the tombs; and no one could restrain him any more, even with a chain; for he had often been restrained with shackles and chains, but the chains he wrenched apart, and the shackles he broke in pieces; and no one had the strength to subdue him...Jesus asked him, ‘What is your name?’ ” ~Mark 5:1-4,9

We have great people among us, only we do not know it.
They are the poorest of the poor –
the unwanted,
the uncared for,
the rejected,
the alcoholics,
the crippled,
the blind,
the sick,
the dying –
people who have nothing and have nobody.

Their very life is a prayer.
They continually intercede for us without knowing it.
   ~Mother Theresa, Words of Love

Prayer (Agnus Dei):
“Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
Have mercy on us..
Grant us your peace.
Grant us your compassion.
Amen.”
